I've been here a few times now and the service is always friendly with the mom/ pop vibe you get at this place as well. I recently came to pick up some wings to bring to my family, who were in town for a family get together. But what also compelled me to update my review or have a newer write up is that this place gave support to the recent LA wildfire victims. I really love seeing small businesses coming together and help out the community...and they're down in OC as well! It makes me happy to support businesses like this. On this visit, I got a split of the original garlic butter and spicy garlic butter. My brothers, niece, and nephew loved them! A perfect late afternoon snack before a big family gathering. Or...also consider them for you big Superb Owl needs! ”

“ Came here with 3 friends for an early dinner, probably around 5:30? It started to get busy right after we walked in so we came at the perfect time. The store has seating but isn't super large, the ideal party size would be 1-4 probably. We got 2 combo boxes, one with fish sauce mild spice level and garlic butter. Each came with two scoops of rice, fried garlic, and dipping sauces. We also got truffle Parmesan tater tots. The tots were crispy and the truffle wasn't overpowering which we liked, but the Parmesan hardened and was just stuck in clumps at the top, so these were just ok and we probably could've done without them. The chicken wings and drumsticks though were sooo good, the flavors were delicious and they were fried to perfection. Really crispy and the meat was nice and juicy. 2 boxes was great for 4 people as a large appetizer (we had somewhere to go after) so if you really want to fill up, I def would recommend getting a 3rd or 4th box. If I'm back in the OC area, I really would want to come back here and will def recommend to friends around here! ”

“ Need a way to feed 4 big boys and 2 girls? Look no further because Mama Hieu's gotchu. Food (5/5): What a steal for 48 wings, 6 scoops of rice, and garlic noodles for about $15 per person! The chicken was so juicy and flavorful. I'm always a little skeptical with dry rub but these were so addicting to eat. The spicy is about a hot Cheetos amount of spice. Definitely present but not burning your mouth spicy. The garlic noodles were also a hit. They weren't too greasy and had a nice amount of garlic flavor. It was also nice to have rice on the side to balance all the saltiness. Service (5/5): We ordered online and it was ready within 10 min after our estimated pickup time which was fine since we ordered quite a bit. They packaged our food efficiently and didn't miss anything. Ambiance (5/5): Parking was easy in the plaza and there seemed to be a good amount of seating inside. The interior is cute and well decorated! ”

“ ‼**Sunday, 1/5/2025 Review**‼ Gave this place a visit after seeing them on TikTok. Ordered the following: Spicy Butter Garlic and Fish Glazed Combos, Mama Tots and Garlic Noodles. Did not wait too long for my order either, service was quick. Friendly customer service also. The young lady who took my order was easy to place an order with Interior is quite nice, I like their wall paper decor. 1. Spicy Butter Garlic: 8/10 - Delicious. Wish there was a bit more sauce on the wings. 2. Fish Glazed: 8/10 3. Mama Tots: 6.5-7/10 - Too much of the white sauce to be able to enjoy the tots. 4. Garlic noodles: 10/10 - delicious! Wish the size was bigger. If this was a main dish with a protein on the side, it would be even better! ”

“ I never thought that any fried chicken wings would get as close to what my husbands tastes like but this place takes the win. We came during peak lunch time and we just got lucky to find 1 hour parking in front but boy is it hard to find a spot in general. There's about 19 seats total inside and nowhere to eat outside so many take this to go. We ordered the classic garlic and fish sauce (light spicy) you can pick your spice level too, along with rice (sprinkled with fried onion), garlic noodles and pickled veggies. The meat was so crispy, juicy, and goes so well together with the pickled veggies, it just really cuts through with flavor. The noodles were creamy and garlicky but not overpowering. I'd say to skip out on the sauces, you don't need them. Chicken tastes better without it. Inside it's definitely cozy, but we got lucky finding a table for all of us. Overall such an enjoyable experience and if my kids said "the best EVER" as they tore up their drumstick then we will be coming back! ”

“ Friends recommendation of Vietnamese Fried Chicken Place after seeing an Instagram post. This place is located on Bolsa and Magnolia...across the street from 7-11 and right next to Carrot N' Diakon sandwich shop. Parking is limited so be warned during peak hours Inside is inviting and the record is like any typical sandwich shop with limited dining in seating. Menu is pretty simple of mainly wings and appetizers. There two rice options: $8 rice is 6 scoops while $2 rice is just one scoop. Soda is can. Have a dispensable water (hot/cold) dispenser. Wings comes in four different sauces: original/spicy garlic butter or $2 extra if want salted egg yolk or fish glazed. Fish glazed is mainly Vietnamese fish sauce and red Thai chilli peppers (according to cashier) Order the 24 wings platter for dine in. Can choose up to 2 sauces. Surprisingly it took less than 10 minutes. Wings looks beautiful and appetizing. Spicy garlic comes with garnished glazed green onions while salted egg yolk is heavily coated in special sauce. Taste is moist and not too dry. However, they don't offer complimentary sauce when ordering wings because you have to order separately of 50 cents each. Overall, recommend if wanting to try Vietnamese fried chicken. ”

I have tried so many different styles of chicken wings from your traditional Buffalo style wings, KFC-Korean Fried Chicken wings, CFC-Cambodian style to now trying VFC-Vietnamese Fried Chicken wings here at Mama Hieu's. A small fast food style ordering at the counter and a few tables to eat in which is always the best recommendation. Located in a strip mall in Westminster's Little Saigon area. Mama Hieu's Fried Chicken Wings with four types of flavors were all very tasty and each having its own flavor profile. We had to order a dozen of each flavor offered along with a large pickled vegetables which really went well with the chicken. The wings themselves were cooked well, crispy and very well coated with each marinade. A must try for chicken wing lovers. ”
